Project Aims To enable non developers to get involved in developing by perfoming tasks such as: -
Userguide writing To provide a skills database that will allow developers to see just who is out there and what skills they have, both programming and non programing. Developers are then able to get in touch with these people as needed, via the website. This could be, as mentioned above to do with documentation or testing. It could also be simply to ask other developers for assistance or to form a small development team to take on larger projects. What are we hoping to achieve for RISC OS? The end result of RISC OS Connect is: - Make it easier for collaborative projects to happen with the use of the skills database What is the problem we are trying to solve? Users feeling powerless to assist with development Central Focus? The central focus of this project is currently driven through the RISC OS Connect website and the Skills Database. It is expected over time and with feedback, this will develop onwards. |
